Side A: The tide comes in; the tide goes out. That which is shall cease to be, and that which was shall come again. Only impermanence endures. This law of nature applies equally to the leviathan that sports and the ruined city that rots beneath the waves; the sea swallows and restores god and mortal alike. Side B: The deliquescing gray-green creatures gather around the slimy altar. Blasphemous chants slither forth from their throats, summoning our doom. Blackness descends from the heavens. Direly whimsical DS meditations on nature and fantasy. As the shadows grow long the snowflakes come out to dance, sparkling in their faery blue dresses. Let us make merry today, trill with the rivers and birds, for tomorrow we will vanish without a trace. Even memory disappears in time, fading into prophecy, morphing into myth. Yet still the sun shines down, the stars sparkle against the velveteen blackness, the hungry waves lap greedily at the shore. Dave Aftandilian
